About a month ago, when these pics were taken, Madison was just starting to get the hang of sitting up by herself. She could mostly sit completely unassisted, until she went to grab for something, and then she would tumble to that side. Now, she has it down completely...she can reach down for a toy and sit back up straight. She can also go from sitting to slowly getting on her tummy and commando army crawling (more of that in a later post!). But these were some of the first pics I had of her sitting. Since she was doing so well at sitting on her own in her room, I decided this day that it was time to stop hauling around her heavy car seat everywhere and start using her cart/highchair cover when we were out (see pic below). She absolutely loved it! You could tell she felt like a big girl being able to sit up in the front of the grocery cart and then out to dinner with Grandma.
Sitting up all by herself in her room.
Her first time in a restaurant highchair. She loved the freedom!
