Madison turns 20 months old today! That is really starting to sound old and dangerously close to 2! Saturday we went to open house at Southern Starz Gymnastics (where we went to open gym the day before). If you went to the open house they gave you a coupon to waive your registration fee which is $30! We met Miss Sam who is the Mommy and Me class coach. She let the kids swing from one of the bars, Madison clung to me and didn't want anything to do with her. Then we went down the long trampoline which she did holding on to my hand. She walked on the balance beam with me and then did a flip into the foam pit with Miss Sam then cried! I think she was a bit scared today, but hopefully she will get the hang of it when class starts. Since we will be going to Georgia next week to visit my mom we will start class the following Wednesday night at 6:30pm. It is kind of late, but hopefully she will not be too tired at that time because it is the only time that fits into our schedule!
I thought of a couple other tidbits about Madison after my last post...
Madison is very sympathetic to others. When we were on the plane home from Iowa there were a few other babies/toddlers on our flight. Anytime she heard one of them cry she would say "baby cry" with a very sad look on her face. She is also sympathetic to characters in books and movies. We were reading "my Nest is Best" and when Mr Bird couldn't find Mrs Bird she got so upset she didn't want to finish the book. I told her we should keep reading and he would probably find her. She was reluctant, but was very excited when Mr Bird found her in the end. And in her new Elmo movie Elmo's blanket is taken by the mean Mr Huxley, and this also made her very upset. She kept asking for Elmo's blanket. When he got it back in the end she clapped! She had a similar reaction to The Little Mermaid too when Ariel's dad breaks all her stuff in her cave. She said "stuff broken!" and "princess cry!" She is so sweet!
When Madison gets an Ouchie she likes for me to kiss it better. It usually works pretty well. She'll point to her booboo and then say "Mommy kiss" and it stops the tears pretty quickly. The other day she had a diaper rash (her skin is very sensitive and she gets them frequently depending on what she eats). She said ouch and touched her peepee and said "ouchie...mommy kiss!" Haha! I had to tell her we'd just put some cream on it instead! She is also sympathetic to others ouchies. She will even point out my pimples and say "Mommy ouchie." When Scott wraps his knee (he has a history of ACL repair and sometimes it bothers him) she says "ouchie Daddy."
Yesterday I was feeling in her mouth and Madison has her two lower 2 year molars! By the feel of them, they have probably been there for a week or two! Just like all of her other teeth, she had no signs of teething.
Even though I am sad to see my baby grow up it is so much fun to watch her grow up and do fun new things like gymnastics class! She is so sweet and I look forward to continuing to watch her grow into a little girl!

Such a big girl! So sweet that she cares so much about others. Kinley loves boo-boos to be kissed away, too. More like insists upon it.
