Mad about Madison & Mallorie: Beach No More!

By Tuesday Madison's love-hate relationship with the beach had made a turn towards hate! She had tolerated our walk the night before, but we were holding her the entire time. On this afternoon she cried the entire time we were at the beach if she wasn't being held. Also during the week Madison was a huge Mommy's girl. She clung to me the whole time. She would sometimes go to Grandma and sometimes to Daddy, but most of the time she didn't want anything to do with Uncle Geoff or Aunt Jenna. She somewhat warmed up to Jenna by the last day, but would still stay clear of Geoff. It was more of a game to her though. She would smile and tell him no or push him away. She definitely knew it would make us all laugh! She did however LOVE her cousins, especially Lauren! Whenever she couldn't see Lauren she would call and look for her. Lauren rode in my car most of the week, so every time we got in the car Madison would ask for Lauren if she wasn't already in the car. For the week after we left the beach Madison asked for Lauren at least once a day!
Tuesday morning we went to the pool. I had to make sure Madison didn't see me when I was taking the pictures, or she would have wanted me to get in the pool and hold her! Luckily Grandma and her cousins were there to distract her from seeing me and the camera.

She loved to "jump" off the edge while holding mine or Grandma's hands.

She had NO fear! The hard part was keeping up with her!

Geoff took my mom out to lunch at the Green Flash on Captiva Island, so Jenna, Chris, Taylor, Lauren, Madison and I grabbed some lunch too. We went to the Island Cow...Yum! They had muffins on the table while we were waiting for lunch. Madison really liked the chocolate chip ones as you can see from the above picture!! After nap time we all headed to the beach where Madison decided she hated the beach!! Her and I sat on a towel in the sand while everyone else played in the waves and I took pictures. She cried the entire time!!
