The next day (Sunday 8/12) we got up early, finished packing and got on the road by 10 am to head to Scott's parent's house in NC. It's only about a three hour drive so not too bad. But of course Madison told us right before we got there (we were on curvy country roads again) that she was going to throw up. We handed her a bag but luckily she never got sick. Shortly after we got there several of Scott's extended family members also came over for a late lunch. Aunt Lois was there on her way back from her family reunion in Iowa and Aunt Jackie was down from Maryland and then a few other family members that live near by were also there.
Behind Grandma and Grandad's house is the Green River. So after lunch we took a walk down there. We got a few pictures but weren't really able to get to close to the water. There had been quite a bit of rain before we got there which made the red clay down to the water very slippery and gooey.
